CONFLICT PREVENTION & MITIGATION

PEER LEARNING OF LGB ON CONFLICT MANAGEMENT Because of absence of consistent and centralized state policy, the burden of border conflicts resolution lies on shoulders of local aiyl okmotu. Most of them have significant experience and knowledge in ethnic conflict resolution that are still not disseminated and not considered in local and/or national desicion making decrees. more >   PHOTO-VOICES OF WOMEN AND YOUTH Women, youth and poor are the most vulnerable groups suffering from violence and aggression caused by emerging conflicts. They do not have opportunity to participate and influence decision-making processes in communities. Women and youth are limited in access to material and social resources, and not aware of their rights and opportunities. more > STRENGTHENING WOMEN'S POTENTIAL IN PEACE BUILDING The projects aims on widening opportunities and assuring a participation of women in multi ethnic and social conflict situations and peace building. The main project's resource is Women Network, which consists of 20 local Women committees in three oblasts of Southern Kyrgyzstan. more >
